Future of Copyright Education at the Library Copyright Institute Capstone Event
Topics included were strategies and opportunities for long-term collaboration, centralized support or funding for copyright instruction and labor, addressing gaps in copyright education and audiences that are unable to access current copyright education programs, and the potential for a copyright education committee for more centralized communication.
Evaluating AI through a Pedagogy-First Lens: 2025 Language OER Conference
Meredith Jacob and Will Cross discussed how generative AI may impact OER creation and how to evaluate when it may be useful and when it may be harmful. They focused on the risks and benefits of machine translation, ways to structure teaching to ensure meaningful practice, and the role of language teachers critically evaluating these new technologies in their role as language experts.
